From the 4th of June the Glenkens Community Shop in Dalry will be opening on Tuesday evenings from 6-8pm during the summer.
Social group release Soup Book to fundraise for Stepping Stones Community Larder and Foodbank
The Social Group has collated all the recipes into a booklet and they are on sale in the Carsphairn Tearooms and the Heritage Centre at a cost £5, the proceeds going to The Community Larder & Food Bank Charity at Stepping Stones in Castle Douglas.

The car park collection box in Mossdale village has been stolen, robbing the community of a valuable source of funds.
Local Initiatives in New Galloway raises funds for community food
New Galloway has launched a fundraising appeal with a book and baking extravaganza in its historic Town Hall, raising more than £600 for the purchase of a community freezer that will help to reduce local food waste and make nourishing food available to the community at the same time.

Passion Premier Raises £1,000 for Malawi Orphanage
The world premiere of Geoff Davidson’s The Passion was performed at Dalry church on Easter Saturday. A capacity audience of over 150 people enjoyed a dramatic performance of the new choral work from the Glenkens Parish Choir with church members taking the spoken roles of Pontius Pilate, the high priest Caiaphas and choir members reading Peter, Judas and ‘Doubting’ Thomas.
