The Glenkens Community and Arts Trust (GCAT) is delighted to confirm that Creative Scotland has awarded them full funding for their CatStrand Arts programme in the national announcements today, Thursday 30th January 2025.

New Galloway, Dumfries and Galloway — The CatStrand Arts Centre, a hub for creativity and community in New Galloway, has reached a major sustainability milestone, transitioning its heating system entirely to renewable energy sources.

Community buildings across the Glenkens have made significant strides in improving energy efficiency and reducing their carbon footprint over the last few years.
