Chance to train in film with local artist

The D&G Climate Hub has two exciting training and mentorship positions available, working with local film-maker and artist John Wallace.

The Climate Action in Film project aims to capture climate action in communities across Dumfries and Galloway, mapping the work being carried out in grass-root projects.

The D&G Climate Hub, led by the Galloway & Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere, is part of the Scottish Government’s new national network of Climate Hubs, supporting community climate action at a regional level.

Trainees will be based at The Stove in Dumfries, although filming will take place across the whole region. The contract lasts from February to March 2024 and will pay a subsistence of £750 plus travelling expenses, and all equipment will be provided. The traineeships will ideally suit 18-26 year olds, or those starting their careers.

If you’re interested in this fantastic project, apply to Jenna Cains at jenna@gsabiosphere.org.uk, including your CV and covering letter stating why you’re right for this position before 2nd February.
