The Future for Managing Community Engagement in the Glenkens

A report on research carried out by Connecting in Communities (CiC), a Glenkens Community & Arts Trust project that ran between 2016 and 2023. One of its final outputs was to create an evidence-based proposal for future community development work in the Glenkens and district.  

Research for this report was undertaken between June 2022 and January 2023 in four phases and included in-depth interviews as well as community questionnaires.

The results identified challenges facing individuals and families, as well as those facing the area as a whole and made a series of recommendations that fed into the Community aspect of GCAT's 2023 - 2028 Strategy document (published Sept 2023).

Thanks as ever are due to the National Lottery who funded the majority of CiC's work over the 7 years and allowed them to make a huge difference to the wellbeing of the people of the Glenkens.
