Stewartry SWI Federation Bowling Competition

Bekah, Heather, Dorothy and Christine from Carsphairn SWI

On Sunday 1st December 2024, four ladies from Carsphairn SWI enjoyed a great afternoon taking part in the Stewartry Federation Carpet Bowling Competition.

A surprise and bonus for them was that they came third. As a novice team with little to no experience, Bekah, Heather and Christine were ably led by Dorothy. Congratulations to Townhead who were placed first and Haugh of Urr who came second.

There was suspense, anxiety, concentration, creaky joints but most of all laughter and a sense of great team work. Everyone enjoyed a welcome cuppa and home baked treats at half time. Roll on the next competition!
