Community Action Plan (CAP) Steering Group
The Glenkens & District Trust sponsored the creation of a Glenkens and District Community Action Plan, published in 2020 (see links).
This action plan covers the Balmaghie, New Galloway & Kells, Dalry, Balmaclellan, Corsock & KPD, Parton and Crossmichael Community Council areas and sets out an overall goal that the Glenkens will be a connected, resilient and carbon neutral place, where people will want to live, work, visit, to bring up their families, and to grow old.
The Glenkens & District Community Action Plan Steering Group is supported and co-ordinated by Glenkens Community & Arts Trust (GCAT) and is made up of nine people of all life experiences and interests from across our communities, who will review progress against the Plan, suggest interventions if some actions aren’t getting done, and ensure that the Action Plan remains up-to-date and relevant as our communities change.
